Clicking the Add From Map button takes you to this Map page.

Layers section

Purpose: Toggle any layers assigned to the current project.

Center button: Move the map view to your current GPS location.
Clear button: Delete any geometries drawn on the map.
Draw button: Generate the location you are working in and filter the pay items by that location. Opens a pop-up with three options to generate the geometry:
- Sketch: Select points by clicking on the map to outline the area you are working on.

Note: If you do not select the points in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, an error will occur.

- Text Entry: A pop-up will appear where you can enter the station and offset of up to four points to generate the geometry.
- Import: If you want to use this option, contact your CIMS Lead.
Resize button: Resize a previously created piece of geometry.
Undo button: Undo an action taken while sketching out a geometry.
Redo button: Redo an action previously undone via the Undo button.
Finish button: Finalize a geometry you have sketched using the Sketch option.
Cancel button: Cancel a geometry you are sketching before it is finalized.
Show button: Display the selected alignment by moving the map view to the alignment and highlighting it with a series of purple diamonds.
Select button: Select an alignment where the center black crosshair is currently positioned on the map. The alignment will then be shown in the Select Alignment drop-down.

Purpose: See the station, offset, and alignment of the point you select on the map. Click anywhere on the map to see this information.
