Purpose: Sync the database and project maps, which is how the app downloads all information about the projects you are assigned to.
- Sync Changes button: Sync your latest changes to the database.
- Full Sync button: Perform a full sync on all your projects.
Warning: Only click Full Sync the first time you are installing the app or if you are instructed to do so by your CIMS Lead. Doing so deletes any of your unsaved data. If you attempt to do a full sync after the first time, a warning message will appear. See Sync the CIMS mobile app for more information.
- Line Sync buttons: Sync only the selected line. Repeat for each line.
- Line Unregister buttons: Uninstall the selected line’s project from your app, enabling you to perform a line sync after a full sync has been performed.
Note: You will only use this button if directed to do so. It will enable you to perform a full sync (which usually only happens on first login).
Other buttons on this page
- Share button (top): Create a folder with the local database information, which you can share with the development team to identify and fix errors you may run into.
Note: The files that are generated are large and need to be sent through a file-sharing system that can handle the capacity.
- Full Unregister button (top): Uninstall all project information from your app, which will wipe the app to a base slate so you can resync the data for any reason or switch accounts.
Note: You will only use this button if directed to do so. It will enable you to perform a full sync (which usually only happens on first login).
- Check Status button:
- Check the status of your database to see if any updates are available.
- Refresh the Database Sync Manager so that all projects are showing.
- Skip This Page Next Time toggle: Allow you to skip the Database Sync Manager page and go directly into the projects.
Note: After a couple of days, the toggle will automatically reset to Off so that you can check the Database Sync Manager occasionally.
- Continue to Project button: Go into the app once all syncing is completed.
Note: This button is grayed out until a full sync or at least one full project sync (map data and line data) has been completed. It is locked if a full sync is currently in progress or if there is a project that is not fully synced.
