1. In the Database Sync Manager, start syncing project data by doing one of the following (see also the pros/cons table):
Warning: Only click Full Sync the first time you are installing the app or if you are instructed to do so by your CIMS Lead. Doing so deletes any of your unsaved data. If you attempt to do a full sync after the first time, a warning message will appear.
a. Full Sync (recommended for the first sync): Click on Full Sync in the top right corner of the screen.
b. Line Sync (one by one): Select a line, then click on the Sync button on the right side. Repeat for each line.

Full Sync |
One by One |
|
Pros |
Automatically syncs all lines with one click, reducing user interactions. |
Provides more control over which projects to sync and the ability to sync an update or newly added project without doing a full resync. |
|
Cons |
Syncs ALL projects. Depending on the user, some projects may not be needed, and the sync will take additional time. |
Requires more user interaction since you must individually select each line to sync. |
2. While syncing, the status bar on each line will load, turning blue starting from left to right to show progress. When completed, each status bar will turn green.
a. Troubleshooting: If the status bar on any line turns red, click the Sync button for that line and wait for it to complete the syncing process. Repeat as needed.

Important: Click the Sync button at the end of each line (DO NOT click Full Sync in the top right corner of the screen).
3. When all lines are green, the Continue to Project button will appear. Click it to continue into the app.
